Saxifrag Tam

Carol Knott will be teaching this wonderful colorwork tam this fall. It is the perfect introduction to colorwork with LettLopi yarn which will hold the pattern well.

The Saxifrage Tam by Véronik Avery pays homage to the brightly colored yokes of Icelandic sweaters as well as the low-lying plant found all over Canada. With eight different colors of Ístex Léttlopi called for in the pattern, there’s plenty of options for customization.

The pattern is free from Ravelry.

Skills Required: Knitting in the round

Skills Learned: Fair Isle knitting and reading from a color chart

Materials Needed: 8 colors of LettLopi and 16″ circular needle appropriate for gauge.
