Lizard Crochet Shawl

IMG_5300_medium2

This snappy, asymmetrical crochet shawl is the perfect beginner project being comprised of chain, single and double crochet stitches. The segments are alternating open work with a segment of three solid ridges.

Come for the afternoon as a first time crocheter and leave with all the tools you need to work on this project. By the second week your hook should be flying!

The store sample (not seen here) is made of one ball of Kauni yarn which provides a gentle flow of color. Other options would be changing colors every set of stitches or changing per stitch segments or just crocheting in one color.

The shawl may be made in any weight yarn and hook appropriate to that size to obtain a soft drape on fabric.
