Papillon / Butterfly Shawl

This will be Carol’s tenth class with this amazing shawl. This is a project that never disappoints!

The Papillon (French for Butterfly) is an incredible design accomplished with short rows, creating fields of color in a magical melody of design. It is Swing Knitting at it best as you  set yarn in motion with pools of color flowing on and on.

Reading the comments on Ravelry make me want to start one right now:  such fun….addictive….on my 4th or 5th….amazing to watch the pattern evolve….couldn’t put it down…rekindled my knitting enthusiasm…..WOW!

So many options….you may use separate colors for each run or use a yarn with about a 19” color repeat such as Kauni, Zauberball or MilliColori. The pattern calls for fingering but other weights also work well.

The pattern is priced at a hefty $14.00 but it is yours free when you purchase the class and yarn from knitch.

Definitely a project for the Adventurous Intermediate Knitter!
