Gnomes with Jenni


Adorable! Who can resist these little fellas? Quick and fun to knit, they enchant everyone!
We dare you to make just one.
Knit in six easy pieces and stuffed with polyfil, these gnomes are perfect portable knitting.

Pattern: “Couple of Gnomes” by Tetyana Korobkova (available in-store from Ravelry individually, or as part of an e-book). We will be knitting the “Boy Gnome” in class.

Please note that gauge matters little in a project like this, unless you want your gnome to match the pattern’s dimensions  – then, please, get gauge before class.

Materials needed: Odds and ends of 3 colors of yarn…needle 1 to 2 sizes smaller than suggested as appropriate for yarn. In addition, Pattern and t-pins or stick pins which are helpful in the assembly.

Jenni uses her preferred method of knitting these gnomes in the round on two circulars! But, you can knit them in the round in the method of your choice.

Skills required:Knit, purl, knitting in the round, increase, decrease.

Skills learned:
Multiple piece-assembly, shaping, i-cord, dealing with lots of ends, color changes.

We will also discuss size modification, tips and tricks for creating a flat bottom and more along the way.
