Tunisian Entrelac Shawl

Tunisian Crochet is a combination of knitting and crochet. Often it is thought of as the progenitor of Knitting and Crochet. However, unlike knitting you use one hook, but unlike crochet and like knitting you put all the stitches on this one hook and then transfer them off.

When using a variegated yarn such as Noro’s Silk Garden or Green Mountian Spinnery Green on Green yarn the squares become rich in color and texture.

  • Hooked on Tunisian Crochet by Cheryl Thies (available as an e book at knitch)
  • DK to Worsted weight yarn for practice
  • K Tunisian Crochet hook or regular K hook without a thumb grip
