Tunisian Crochet: Pleasure Afghan

Join Carol Commodore in learning to Tunisian Crochet this gorgeous afghan designed by Sheryl Thies of Madison. The “Pleasure Afghan” uses the Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS) or Afghan Stitch with increases and decreases to create a stunning pattern throughout the throw.

For the “new to Tunisian Crochet” technique people, this form of crochet is quite like knitting with a hook. Unlike regular crochet when you deal with one stitch at a time, you work in rows placing all stitches onto the hook then backing them off. Carol notes that also unlike regular crochet, Tunisian Crochet uses less yarn!

The Get Hooked on Tunisian Crochet contains 15 lovely patterns from simple placemats to graceful shawls. A second class will be offered in December also based on this book.
