Wet Felted Flowers

On this Sunday of All Things Fiber, Susan will introduce you to wet felting. With the magic of wet wool and friction almost anything can be created, but she will concentrate on whimsical flowers or a phone case!  These quick projects are a great way to learn the process of wet felting and have some fun while doing so!

Briefly, wet felting is the process of working wool fibers (roving) together with water, soap, and elbow grease to form a sturdy fabric. The scales on the wool grab on to each other as you massage the roving, and then as if by magic you have fabric!
