Badlands Mitts

A new slant on finger-less mitts!!

Everyone knows about the fantastic Linen Stitch Scarf full of fun, fancy and color….This is a mini linen stitch done in the round so there is very little to think about – just a slip row and then a knit row!

Another fun thing about these mitts is that they are knit from the top down. First the wee thumb is knit and saved for later, then the hand is knit to where you attach the thumb, then knit to desired length for your wrist or arm.  The thumb gusset is created by decreasing too! Very clever construction indeed.

Just like socks knit from the toe up: just divide your yarn into equal amounts and knit until it is all gone or until you are satisfied with the length.
